Through EFFIA subsidiary, Keolis to implement innovative parking technologies and upgrades, doubling capacity and implementing new customer care center for city of Saint-Malo

PARIS – January 6, 2017 –  Keolis, a global provider of multi-modal public transportation solutions, announced today that its parking facility management subsidiary has been awarded the contract valued at $40 million to manage parking for the city of Saint-Malo in northwestern France.

Under the terms of the 12-year agreement, Keolis’ EFFIA subsidiary will implement a wide range of upgrades to the system, including doubling the number of paying spaces, creating three new parking facilities, and opening a new customer care center to improve the overall parking experience.

The company will also be helping the city to address a range of issues, including adding parking to public spaces, simplifying access to local shops and municipal services and improving traffic flow to accommodate seasonal tourism which can increase the historic city’s population by as much as 30%.

EFFIA will also develop an innovative “Parking Pathway” that uses dynamic signage to display customer information, while installing nearly 200 next generation parking meters capable of accepting payment via cash, credit, contactless payment, mobile apps and multi-modal travel passes.
